Customer Service
Customer service sets us apart from the rest. We utilise state of the art technology, but the key is still personal communication with our clients.
Making sure your cargo reaches its destination in the most expedient, safe, and cost effective means is our top priority.
Upon receipt of an order our experience staff will ascertain:
- Is the shipment time sensitive i.e. Conference or Non-conference, Direct or transhipment service
- Is the shipment over 15M3, should it be shipped as an FCL
- For FCL shipments, does the cargo comply with weight and measurement restrictions
- Should the shipment be sent as parcel or small package for under 10 Kg
- For breakbulk cargo, does it need to be stowed underdeck to avoid the potential of water damage.
- What costs are covered by our customer in accordance with the INCOTERMS 2000.
- Is the cargo volumetric, will the shipment be rated on the actual or chargeable weight
Orbit Logistics has an extensive world-wide agency network that can arrange all of the above and keep you informed of your cargo movements at all times.
We are able to keep you informed of your cargo movements at all times so as you may best plan for your future needs.
This is achieved through the use of pre-alerts or our Orbit Connect product.
Orbit connect allows us to:
- Expedite your orders - Orbit can receive your purchase orders electronically or manually and manage these through our network to keep you informed of changes that may affect your supply chain
- Delivery - Orbit will provide up to date accurate information on current shipments from ETD through ETA to clearance and delivery
